Mom blogger friend Mish helped organize the event. The whole function room atop one of the condominium units at BGC turned out to be beautifully and tastefully bedecked for the occasion. One could not miss the details - beautiful summer flower arrangements on each table, dainty table decor, classy tableware in hues of ivory, browns and yellows, a specially made table card with the menu for the afternoon, recipe sets for each of us containing instructions on how to prepare all the food we would be having, a matching USB stick with more product information, and more! The whole place was just eye candy despite it being an intimate gathering.
Just look at the effort that went into these details! |

Colombo Merchant Phils. Inc., our gracious hosts for the afternoon, together with our mom blogger friend Mish who served as our organizer and emcee, introduced us to two German brands -- Braun and Severin. Colombo Merchants is the exclusive distributor in the country for both brands.
The Braun brand was no stranger to me. My late Mom had some Braun kitchen aids around the house when we were growing up. Severin was a new one I had not heard of though so it was interesting to check out the home appliances they carried.

Just look at all these yummy food made with the Braun TributeCollection Food Processor...
And check out the very refreshing beverage that we had - Lemon and Basil Refresher - made with the Braun Multiquick 3 Citrus Juicer. It was so good, I kept going back for more.
Here are the rest of the appliances on display.

The interesting part of the afternoon was, of course, seeing how all these kitchen appliances worked. Chef Redj first showed us how to make the Lemon and Basil Refresher using the Braun Multiquick 3 Citrus Juicer. Next, he showed us how to make crepes. I was not too eager to volunteer but good thing Didi and some others did, including Mish's son. And they did a great job, actually. Now I'm thinking….hey, if a young boy can do a crepe, so can I!
Here's Chef Redj using the Severin Crepe Maker.

The afternoon delight didn't stop there. Mish announced that we had a raffle and based on the number we fished out of the bowl, we got to choose from among the Braun and Severin items that were stacked up against a wall. Best part of the day!
Actually, I was at a loss as to what to pick when my turn came but I turned adventurous and went for the Severin Raclette Party Grill because it was the one I was most unfamiliar with from among the appliances there. That should make for interesting cookout moments at home!
